Abrams Global, The Kent Co., The Lansco Corporation and Time Retail Partners have advised The White Company, one of the UK’s most prominent lifestyle brands, on their US entry.
For its first store, The White Company has signed a lease in New York at 155 Fifth Avenue and plans a Summer 2017 opening. Robert Wingrave, Managing Director of London-based Time Retail Partners advised on the expansion strategy from the UK and Andrea Abrams, founder of NYC-based Abrams Global advised on country entry strategy in the US, which continues beyond the Fifth Avenue location with the exploration of mall locations in the Tri-State area. Robin Abrams, Vice-Chairman of NYC-based The Lansco Corporation, acted as the exclusive broker for the Fifth Avenue transaction, and Marcy Kent, founder of NJ-based The Kent Co., is acting as the exclusive broker for mall transactions. Founded in London by Chrissie Rucker, MBE, The White Company began by specializing in affordable, stylish, white, designer-quality items for the home. What started as a range of essentials for the linen cupboard – duvet covers, pillows, fitted sheets and luxury towels in timeless white – has become a full range of lifestyle products, ranging from home accessories to women’s and children’s apparel, sold online and through the company’s stores in the UK. The White Company currently sells to the US consumer via an e-commerce site. The Fifth Avenue flagship marks its first brick and mortar location in the US.
