BRUCE NUTMAN
DIRECTOR

Bruce has specialised in the retail sector in the UK for over 25 years and specifically within retail investment – Capital Markets – for over 22 years. His experience in the buying and selling of in-town retail real estate means that he is considered one of the leading advisors in the field.

It is estimated than in his career he has concluded around £4.5 billion worth of retail investment business.

His professional background began 30 years ago and has included a wide range of skills within the retail sector, including occupational and lease advisory services to both retailers and landlords, together with development advisory and valuation, particularly of shopping centres. With the benefit of these skills, he then focused on UK retail investment.

Bruce was formerly Head of Retail/Retail Investment and on the UK Management Board of CBRE London, and more recently he was a Partner, and Head of Retail Capital Markets at Knight Frank.

As the UK shopping centre market has become more global, Bruce has identified the overseas equity attracted to the sector. For example, he advised the Australian Future Fund (AFF) on their only UK acquisition, a 33% stake of Bullring in Birmingham and sold a 50% shareholding of West Quay in Southampton to GIC (Govt. of Singapore).

Other notable transactions – on both buy and sell-side – have included schemes such as Bluewater, Westfield Derby and Metrocentre. He has also been involved in a high number of Central London/Greater London transactions including Brunswick Square Bloomsbury, Angel Central N1, Wood Green, Harrow, Walthamstow and Ealing W5.

Outside of work, Bruce plays football and golf regularly and aims to compete in at least one Triathalon or Duathalon each season.
